Book Sale

We’ve had our 68th Annual Scholarship Book Sale –
Thank you to the Buffalo area community for your wonderful support!!

We’re updating details as we get ready for the 2025 sale. Let’s start here:

  • The sale will be at our traditional time – May 28-June 1, 2025. We’ll be back at last year’s location – 425 Essjay in Williamsville.

  • During business hours at the sale, please park across the street at 550 Essjay. Please also note that “our” section of Essjay (between Village Point Lane and International Drive) will be closed from about 6:40pm-7:20pm on Friday due to a benefit race . No entering or exiting the area during that time.
  • Want to help now? Help us advertise! Print out our poster to post at your grocery store or other neighborhood bulletin boards.
  • Can’t wait to sign up to help at the sale? Click HERE to get your name on the volunteer list!
  • Our pricelist is available HERE.  Purchases may be charged via VISA, MC or Discover – $5.00 minimum.
  • Admission (cash or check only):
    • Wednesday 9am-11 am $25, 11am-1pm $15, 1pm-8pm $10
    • Thursday – Saturday 9am-8pm $1
    • Sunday 10am-5pm FREE AND it’s BAG DAY ($5/regular size grocery bag)!

We are pleased to offer the opportunity for members and friends to help Sponsor the Book Sale by making a donation to the AAUW Buffalo Branch. Making it relevant to the Book Sale, we have created the following donation categories. Names of sponsors will be recognized by category on a poster at the Book Sale. This will help to defray our costs – utilities, table rentals, moving (books from collection site to the sale site), and some paid assistance.

      • Jane Austen, $100 +

    If you are interested in being a sponsor, please send a check made out to AAUW Buffalo Book Sale, to PO Box 894, Buffalo, NY 14225. Friends and non-members are also encouraged to help sponsor our sale. What a wonderful gift or memorial idea! Donations are tax deductible.
