The Buffalo Branch of AAUW offers scholarships plus interest-free loans and grants, providing financial support to college students in the Western New York area. These funds are obtained from proceeds from our Annual Book Sale and generous donors. The funds include several named awards. Applicants, women or men, must demonstrate superior academic achievement, have potential for achieving their academic and career goals, and, for some of the awards, show financial need.
Please note: All the applications can be filled in online. However, cellphones and tablets often do not handle them correctly. If the form won’t work as a form, try emailing it to yourself and fill it out on your computer.
- Academic scholarships. The application deadline for the 2026 scholarships is February 13, 2026.
- Chamberlin Loan Fund & Funds for Education – applications always available, awarded twice per year. The application deadlines are May 1 and December 1.
- Clarine Radt mini-grants. In addition to the opportunities for students, we are now also offering on an ongoing basis mini-grants to public school teachers for projects in line with the mission of AAUW. These are funded by a bequest from a beloved member Clarine Radt.
